Utah Dialect Survey
Description
The Utah Dialect Survey is very similar to the English Dialect Survey except done at a much larger scale. Dr. Wendy Baker heard of the work I did with Lyndsey and asked if I would assist her and another professor in creating a similar survey to help them collect data on the Utah dialect and it's identifying characteristics.
Many of the same principles and techniques were used but on a much larger scale and with many more participants. Some refinement was made on the survey results and CSV downloads. In addition, code also had to be refined to ensure that the survey and the playing of sound files worked across many different browsers and operating systems.
