Aldura
Description
My mother opened up Aldura, a furniture, home decor, gift, and yarn store, in Angel Fire, New Mexico in July 2006. As the store progressed, my mother started doing more and more advertising. On one advertisement, she included her web address. There was only one problem—she didn't have a web site.
For my mother's birthday, I created a very simple web site until she had time and resources to develop a better one. The web site's main goal was to allow her to easily manage and update her pages. I created a simple front-end that has a specific number of pages and then created an admin back-end that she can sign into to modify the content of the different pages without having to know HTML. I included simple formatting strings and the ability to upload pictures and insert them into the pages.
The web site is extremely simple and it is not the web site we plan to keep on the site. Eventually, we plan on creating a more complex web site that will allow for online shopping and connect to her POS system to help manage inventory.
